Concrete Hearts of Manhattan
a multi-media art project
2012 - ongoing

To date: 1182 hearts found & 102 miles walked

Concrete Hearts of Manhattan is an artistic journey to find and photograph the symbolic hearts and love notes inscribed in the city’s cement sidewalks and to uncover their hidden love stories.

A personal search for love, a unique portrait of love, and a love story to the city itself, Concrete Hearts of Manhattan is the collective love story of a massive street art piece unknowingly made by thousands of participants who left their hearts throughout the city.

Currently, every sidewalk between 14th St. and Houston St. has been photographed.  Those who inscribed a heart at any location within Manhattan are now sought to share their heart stories as part of the project.

Did you or someone you know carve a heart?
Share your love story and take part in this heartfelt project about the thousands hearts placed at our feet, the love notes paved into the streets.
