An on-going a cappella series of intuitive, improvised vocalizations layered into emotive, musical explorations. This series shows a creative and meditative practice I use to tap into a state of flow and move energy into greater harmony.
VOCAL IMPROV #1
The first improvisation in this series was completed in March of 2020. It carries the desire to stay positive, find joy, and explore in a way I haven’t since childhood, from a place of play and following simple creative impulses. I tap my heart. I snap my fingers. I breathe wildly trying to catch my breath. I seek comfort in the sound.

This improvisation comes from a place of finding strength. It comes from the core. It is a recognition and refusal of lies, the ones we are told and the ones we tell ourselves; a quest for the truth.
